Matt Ornstein
PRINCIPAL
Matt Ornstein is a founding partner at Intersect and focuses on strategic partnerships and capital formation. He grew up in Massachusetts and Georgia and currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from the McIntyre School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with a degree in business in 1990.
Matt began his career at The Home Depot and transitioned into real estate investing and development in the mid-1990s. After winning multiple first-place awards from the Greater Atlanta Homebuilders Association in the early 2000s for his multifamily developments, he founded a real estate investment firm specializing in land acquisition, entitlement, and disposition.
In 2020, Matt co-founded Fortem Holdings, a private equity and investment firm with a portfolio of several operating businesses and real estate development companies and became Co-Chief Executive Officer.
Matt’s personal interests include time with friends and family, biking, reading, skiing, surfing, and traveling. Throughout Matt’s career, he has generously supported the community and many charitable organizations.
